Rihanna - Man Down (Official Video)

The video is finally here. The talk around it was leaving people guessing what Rihanna was going to pull out of the bag for her next single, Man Down. I've got to say I'm surprised! There’s no stopping Rihanna, everything she creates and is involved in is fire!
The story beings with Rihanna in Jamaica. The video shows Rihanna over looking a busy train station, not looking her best, as she draws out a gun and shoots a unknown man in the back. He's left to lie in a pool of his own blood as locals run for safety. We then see a fade in to what happened the day before.

The red head is seen socialising with the locals as she walks through the exotic country, night turns to day as she heads to the club and dances with a guy. She heads home and he decides to follow her on her journey home. He decides to take advantage and doesn’t take no for an answer. We then see a vulnerable Rihanna left on the floor when a cut shows her running home to get that gun that she shoots him with the next day.

Being a victim of domestic violence, she commented on her thoughts about the video, 'I've always wanted to do a video here,' she said. 'Man Down is just a song that you can't do anywhere else. We need to be authentic. You can't get any realer than Jamaica.'
She tweeted 'Its #Gritty #GULLY #Emotional #JAMRock Very strong underlying message 4 girls like me! #listentoyomama.'

She's wowed the audience once again. This is video is going to be talking point again, just like S & M but for different reasons. I think this is actually a good video, something different. It allows females to relate to the video and raises awareness. Tastefully done, it shows another side of Rihanna.
