Adelle, Nicki Minaj, Willow Smith, Gwen Stefani, Florence Welch, Aretha Franklin & Jennifer Hudson in ELLE Magazine

ELLE are taking time to honour and celebrate the new and legendary females in the music industry. Nicki Minaj, Willow Smith, Gwen Stefani & Jennifer Hudson are all featuring in ELLE Magazine's annual music issue. This special edition is out on April 12th.


 The amazing Adele is wearing a Burberry dress and Eddie Borgo Necklace, she spoke to ELLE about the songs written on her ex boyfriend. “We’re not on great enough terms for me to say, ‘Oh, have you heard my record? It’s number one; did you know?”

Nicki Minaj is pictured wearing a Maison Martin Margiela and Mark Fast. The young money star is interviewed on competing with the males in Hip Hop and look at the sneak preview of the image and of her wanting to be on of the boys . "I always wanted to play with the boys, I didn’t want to be a pawn in their game or have a sidekick role. I wanted to be more of a lead character, a superhero."

The young Willow Smith is also pictured in a black and white theme, the clothes are custom made especially for the new funky artist. She speaks to ELLE about her album “It’s going to be a party beat. I think you’re gonna like it!”

Gwen Stefani joins the line up and comments on her marriage to Gavin Rossdale:  “The first time we ever kissed was right around Valentine’s Day, we were in New Orleans on tour. So, yeah, I always think about that because it’s unbelievable that we’ve been able to stay together. I feel so proud of us, it’s one of my biggest achievements.”




Florence is wearing Louis Vuitton, she was asked about her performance at the MTV Music Video Awards show in 2010. “It was my intro to America. And they could have sent me packing if it hadn’t gone so well.”

The legendary and soulful Aretha Franklin will also feature in this edition. Aretha commented on her plus size figure,  “I am going to rock this [size] 16. Sixteen probably sounds large to girls who wear 10s and 12s, but I love it, because it looks good on me.”

Jennifer Hudson is pictured wearing a dress from Dian von Furstenberg and comments on changes in her life and performing when she was younger. “My surroundings and my lifestyle are different, and it’s like, what part of Jennifer is the same as 10 years ago? The only thing I have to hold on to is my voice.” She added “In high school I was like, ‘Well, these are drag queens lip-synching, and I can really sing; why can’t I go up there?’ I would win all the talent shows.”
