Lil Wayne Interview On Hot 97 With Angie Martinez

So Lil Wayne states in this interview that he plans to retire at age 35 to be there for his 4 children full-time. Which is nice considering a lot of these rappers don't really mention being 'there' for their kids. He wants Nicki and Drake to take over his success and that is the reason for him allowing Nicki to perform after him at concerts. Wayne also mentions that he has not listened to fellow Young Money artists, Drake and Nicki Minaj's up and coming albums. Mack Maine originally created the Did It On 'Em beat for Wayne but he passed it on while he was locked him which Lil Wayne is not too happy about! Watch the interview below.

Rihanna in Rolling Stone

Rihanna takes down all guards and opens up in Rolling Stone magazine. She holds nothng backs and speaks about Chris Brown, her father, love life and her bedroom antics. Mark Seliger is the photographer for this shoot and this shoot has a jungle feel, she mentions is a reggae, rastafari feel to it. This issue is out on Friday, check out highlights from the shoot in the video below and her interview.

On why she agreed to let a judge ease the restraining order against Chris Brown: “We don’t have to talk again ever in my life. I just didn’t want to make it more difficult for him professionally. What he did to me was a personal thing—it had nothing to do with his career. Saying he has to be a hundred feet away from me, he can’t perform at awards shows—that definitely made it difficult for him. That was the only thing it was going to change, so I didn’t care. But you can never please people. One minute I’m being too hard, and the next minute I’m a fool because I’m not being hard enough.”

On putting up a facade following the former couple’s domestic dispute:
“I put my guard up so hard. I didn’t want people to see me cry. I didn’t want people to feel bad for me. It was a very vulnerable time in my life, and I refused to let that be the image. I wanted them to see me as, ‘I’m fine, I’m tough.’ I put that up until it felt real.”

On turning up the heat in the bedroom:
“I like to be spanked. Being tied up is fun. I like to keep it spontaneous. Sometimes whips and chains can be overly planned—you gotta stop, get the whip from the drawer downstairs… I’d rather have him use his hands.”

On her love life:
“I’m not sexing, I’m not even sexting. It’s on complete nil,” she says, adding, “I haven’t gotten a dick picture in a long time. I think people are a little afraid. It can turn out bad.”

On empathy for her father:
“I actually feel really bad for my father. He was abused too—he got beat up by his stepdad when he was young. He has resentment toward women, because he felt like his mom never protected him, and unfortunately, my mother was the victim of that. I’m not giving him excuses. Right is right and wrong is wrong. I still blame him. But I understand the source.”

Yasmin Ft. Wretch 32 - Finish Line

This remix has just dropped. Wretch 32 has come in on this track and showed us he is versatile give him a beat and he will adapt.  As always the lovely Yasmin is sounding amazing.

Tinie Tempah to be the new face of Lucozade

Tinie Tempah has been working non stop since he has had his big break. He is all over the scene and performing everywhere. To add to his success he has signed the deal to appear as the new face of Lucozade. The UK born rapper is now endorsing the product, in return he had received a nice payment of £100,000+!

He commented on the deal "I am too young to remember the John Barnes adverts but I hear he wasn’t a bad rapper. I reckon I could kick the bottle in the bin if I was asked. It’s massive. They’ve always done such huge adverts. And I DO drink Lucozade, more so in the gym. I’m not just saying that, I wouldn’t endorse something I didn’t like."

Swizz Beatz Ft. Eve – Everyday (Coolin’)

Everyday

Mz Bratt Ft. Wizzy Wow & Roses Gabor - Killin ‘Em

Tyga Ft Adele - Reminded

This is an interesting combination. Tyga who is signed to Young Money has by the looks of it teamed up with our very own, Adele. Tyga is really on his game at the moment and working hard and this is reflected with Adele who is also working harder than ever. Even though the artists are so different, it works. This brings the two opposites to together.

Teedra Moses signs to Maybach Music

Soulstress Teedra Moses has recently changed her Twitter to be signed by Maybach Music and according to her website it is true. She caught up with VIBE Magazine who interviewed her. Read below for more info.

VIBE VIXEN: You're an independent artist right now, but do you want that major label machine to sign to?
TEEDRA MOSES:
I do want a label, and I'm talking with people. I've had a label before so you can't get me with the lure of 'Oh, we gon' sign you!' That don't mean shit to me, you know? [Laughs] That don't mean nothing because if you don't believe then that don't mean nothing. The number one thing with me is do you get it?
I had this experience: The night of my birthday. We went out, we had drinks, me and my friends. We went to this little lounge place that I go to here in Miami. I came home, and I'm just having this really good birthday…and going into this birthday I never felt so strong. I never felt so boss! I just really felt like the lioness to the truest form, like nothing could mess with me. I'm coming home, it's like 4 o'clock in the morning and I just hop on Twitter. I never check my DM's because I don't really talk to people on the DM's, but I look at my DM's and I see that Rick Ross hits me and was like, "Who you signed to? I doing this company…" blah blah blah. I'm like cool! He likes my music and that always makes you feel good when your peers acknowledge that you're good too. From that point on, we kinda start talking. He lives down here in Miami too, so I start going over there and catch the vibe with him. He hustles really, really hard, so whenever he was in town, I would go over there and check him out and do tracks and just vibe.
When was this?
He hit me in December; we started communicating in January. And you know, I really like them. I like the fact that he's an artist that understands what I'm doing. He always says, 'You my Anita Baker.' Like, he understands what I'm doing. Not saying that I'm Anita Baker, but that's kinda the way I wanted to do it. I want somebody to say, 'Hey, this girl is hustling. She does her thing. Why is nobody signing her?' I never wanted to go to them and beg. So… we're talking and I really rock with them. I'm considering that very strongly, as he is considering it very strongly.
Wow, so Maybach could be the new home for you?
I believe so. Yeah. I like the way they move and I like the hunger over, and I like that it's all about work. As much as Rick talks about the glitz and glamour or whatever, he goes hard and he works hard, so I rock with that. And that's what I do. I work hard, I rock shows, I touch the people and I try to make good music. I'm not really into the hoopla.
Now, I don't know if you can or cannot talk about this, but when will this be developing. I know he just recently signed some people, so will you sign this summer or something later in the year…?
Oh, I'm more than sure. We are in close talks and working on the compilation now.
Nice!
Yeah, I'm giving songs to the compilation. Hey, listen-- I'm so simple. I'm big on vibe, and it's not enough for somebody to say they like your music and I rock with you. I have to see how you roll. I really just went over to his camp and just scoping it out to see if it's somewhere I can fit. He has Wale and Meek Mills and then the people that are around him that just came up with him, that's a big deal to me. You know, I feel comfortable at this point, so I think it's something that's going to be [done] probably by the summer.
UPDATE: It's official!

Musicians pay respects to Nate Dogg at his funeral

Crowds of family and friends gathered on Saturday morning at Long Beach, California to pay respects and say their last goodbyes at Nate Doggs funeral. Snoop Dogg, The Game, Xzibit, Dr. Dre and many more attended the service.

Snoop Dogg said a few words in honour of his good friend "He was a loving, caring individual," said an emotional Snoop, who got a tattoo of his friend’s face the day before. "I’m so honored, so happy that you gave me the opportunity, God, to know Nate Dogg. I want to stand here and cry, but I have to have the strength for you Nate Dogg. It’s 213, DPG for life."

Warren G the collaborator to Regulate also spoke. "It hurts me so much to see this," he added. "We been through a whole lot and that was my dog. He stayed down with me from the bottom to the top. I didn’t ever think I would have to sit at a funeral for one of my dogs. All I can say is that was my friend, me, him, and Snoop was 213 from the balls to the walls. The music industry lost an incredible artist."

Snoop has created a memorial fund in Nate Dogg’s honor, with proceeds benefitting his six children and family. More details are available
